I can do a side by side in cad as the surface one doesn’t exist in real life yet!

what would you be mounting it to?

Oh, I didn't realise the picture wasn't of a real one. I have a second 'desktop' underneath the proper desktop so that the yoke/joystick are at a relatively more 'realistic level as opposed to on top of the desk.

My present throttle(s) are attached to the same lower level. The Saitek TPM hand under and the CH Quadrant is on top. So both pieces of kit would be OK, it's a matter of which one would need the fewest holes drilled in it! 🙂

EDIT: Thinking about it, would the brackets be screwed/bolted to the back of the unit and would they be able to be reversed?

Hello,

1.are you also planning this type of levers? https://www.etsy.com/listing/1010028571/business-jet-flight-control-set-cessna, for example, a buissnes jet model?

this type is very comfortable for the whole hand and very versatile for most airplanes ...

2. Will it be possible to easily print other versions on a 3d printer for the throttle sheets?

brds Chris

btw . still love your Yoke one..best on market for me

Yeah, he could knock one of those up for when he's got a free afternoon.

Out of curiosity what happens to our pledges/orders if the funding goal is not reached by the end of the Kickstarter ??.

Sadly nothing. If the goal isn’t reached then it is classed as not funded and kickstarter does not charge you anything. If it was funded then they would have collected the money when it ended. It’s not like we can get whatever was pledged and work with that to deliver a smaller number of them.

We will then have to investigate other methods of getting it to market. Maybe preorders directly rather than via kickstarter but it seems people in the flightsim community want the product but aren’t keen on backing something that isn’t fully ready. We will have to asses things afterwards but will still want to get it to market.

If the kick starter goal is not reached and there was offered a prepaid pre-order that offered a similar bundle to the kickstarter offer and at the same price, I would most likely sign up for it.  People that want to just pre-order and not pay up front could do so but miss out on the bundled extras.

Whether you can get enough funds in that way to get the project moving is the big question I suppose.

You can take it that my pledge will be a pre-order straight off the bat.

Same for me. I pledged because I will be pre-ordering when the throttle is available.

I think the new throttle needs more coverage in the flight sim community. Maybe Chris can produce some finalized units and loan them to some flight sim Youtubers (Q8Pilot, V1 Sim, etc). I feel that most people don't know what Fulcrum One represents as a brand and what it offers in the throttle. They need to know that the new throttle is not double the price of a Honeycomb Bravo. It's 50% of the price of Virtual Fly throttle but with the same quality and precision.

Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, PNY RTX 5080, 48GB RAM

Seems that it 'doesn't look nice enough' and using Kickstarter to fund development are just two reasons why pledges aren't forthcoming.

Throw lots of cheap shiny lights, switches and buttons at it? Maybe some rindstones too? Make it look more like the Honeycomb Bravo. 🙃

It is a shame that the US and UK Flight Sim expos aren't on this year and that the throttle wasn't ready for AERO 2022 in Germany, back in April. Attendance at these would've garnered some real interest, I feel.

I agree, I read all those comments too. Sadly they miss the bit where it says it is a prototype. They should have seen our prototype yoke compared to the finished one!

The point of the kickstarter was to fund the jump from that to production.

Don't you just love the dissertation-length post from the armchair marketing expert?

I think everyone on this thread understood that.
Unfortunately, it appears that for a lot of people, aesthetics trump everything else. Especially when it cannot be seen in person.
I feel that would have to be taken into account when there's another push to get the throttle produced. Anyway, you have (some) demand for it.

Sorry!
I really hope this throttle quadrant gets made.

Thanks for the support guys. Regarding exposure, we have a 2 page review coming up in the next PCPilot, FSElite  want to do a review and FSMagazin in Germany are interested in a review.
