MSFS Forum surpasses Prepar3D post count…

Recommended Posts

Since this thread is all over the map now, without stating the obvious again!

I have watched all the X-Plane 12 previews and what is in store!

Out of the box for $60 I don’t think any product will ever touch the VFR realism provided by MSFS. For X-Plane to stay “all around” competitive in the long term, the platform needs to incorporate new technology for scenery realism. Even if you only fly the big stuff and the majority of your flight is 35,000’ high, you still have to land and come back to earth and see the scenery. The days of spending $$$$ on scenery enhancements is over due to the inclusion of new scenery technology and imagery. X-Plane leads the way in flight dynamics and cockpit realism, but MSFS is narrowing the gap at a very impressive pace. If you follow the forums closely, the number of simmers who have jumped ship from all the other platforms is staggering. There are improvements in every department for X-Plane 12 from the weather, trees, flight dynamics, lighting, new aircraft etc except landscape scenery. Hopefully the new improvements to X-Plane 12 will bring back simmers who departed to keep the main stream sim platforms competitive in all areas of flight simulation on a large scale.

I used p3d, but only because at the time, it was either that or Xplane, and you know...  (gags while contemplating using Xplane) 😀

Wait a minute... 🙂 Did you actually try X-plane? Just felt I had to step up and defend XP here 🙂
