Uninstalling MK Studios Lisbon scenery

Featured Replies

I want to delete the MK Studios scenery for Lisbon (they updated the scenery and I need to delete the old version first) and in the read-me file it says to uninstall the scenery go to the control panel and uninstall it from there. The problem is the scenery is not listed in the control panel. So how do I delete this scenery? Can I just delete the Lisbon folder?

Is it not listed in add/remove programs?

You can check in appwiz.cpl

No, it is not listed in the add/remove programs and it's not listed in appwiz.cpl either. All my other MK Studio sceneries are listed though.

Forgot to mention, I used P3D v5.3

Have you tried, re-installing your existing version and hopefully that reinstates the un-install option.

So, then you can proceed as you want to.

You're usually pretty safe if you first remove it from the scenery library, either in the sim itself or with a utility like P3D Addon Manager, and then move the scenery folder to a temporary location (so it can be replaced if there are complications, or deleted after successfully installing the new scenery).

I can't remove it from the scenery library manually because the entry is greyed out (like all the other MK Studio sceneries I have).

I am going to open a help ticket with MK Studios and see what they say about this.

I had the same problem as OP, and reinstalling then uninstalling works. Very cumbersome, so MK-Studios should check their installers

Unfortunately after I downloaded the updated scenery I deleted the original download I had. I checked Simmarket where I bought the scenery and the only download they have is the new updated one.

As per their helpforum at https://mkstudios.pl/faq/

If you miss lua5.1.dll library that won’t let you uninstall your scenery please download it here and place in your main P3D folder.
