June 14, 20223 yr I seem to remember using a flight planner in the past which - 1) displayed a map showing nearby airports, vor's etc 2) displayed a topography 'map' between the departure airport and the destination airport showing elevations so that you can be aware of minimum altitudes on a vor flight. Can someone please remind me which flight planner does these things Thanks John Regards John Gigabyte Z390 m/b, i7 9700K cpu, 16Gb Hyper X Fury 3200 ram, RTX2060 6Gb, Gigabyte 32" monitor, MSFS 2020 store edition

June 14, 20223 yr Author Wow what fast responses. Very impressed and thankful. I looked at Little Nav Map but it seemed there were no maps for my part of the world (Australia) but I noticed that Donor has 'addressed' that. Thanks again. [added later] Not sure if what I did was correct and/or the downloaded 'data' folder allows me to see maps in Australia. After downloading I copied the data folder to the root directory for LNM, started LNM but could not see any maps other than for Europe (I could not find a method to include an image of the screen shot other than from a url) Edited June 14, 20223 yr by Jarnie another question Regards John Gigabyte Z390 m/b, i7 9700K cpu, 16Gb Hyper X Fury 3200 ram, RTX2060 6Gb, Gigabyte 32" monitor, MSFS 2020 store edition

June 14, 20223 yr At the top of LNM, the bottom toolbar is a box labeled Mercator. To the right of that in the box with an arrow that allows you to choose the map you want to use. I chose Google Map Sat. This image is zoomed in with the zoom wheel. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. June 14, 20223 yr Top of LNM is: Scenery Library / Load Scenery Library. You have to run that app to get all the airports in MSFS data base into Little Nav Map in order to see the MSFS airports in LNM. Then every airport on the MSFS map will show up in Little Nav Map. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. June 14, 20223 yr Author Thanks again. My lack of knowledge and not looking at any manual which maybe available. I assume that if I add any 3rd party (new) airports in MSFS that I will need to Load Scenery Library again? This is really great. I should read any manual and or watch Youtube tutorials. [added later] If fact (manual) - I was forgetting that LNM is for more than just MSFS 5.1. First Steps Little Navmap shows various dialogs on first start to give hints for better usage. You can dismiss these dialogs for future starts by pressing Do not show again but keep at least the message in mind. You have to load the scenery library first to see the airports of your simulator. Go to main menu Scenery Library and select Load Scenery Library. Select your simulator and click Load. Also have a look at Scenery Library Menu, Load Scenery Library and Navigation Databases about the different scenery library modes which can be selected in the menu. June 14, 20223 yr Yeah, that's right. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
June 14, 20223 yr Personally I really like to use Plan G. Their version 4 is compatible with MSFS and I really like it for VOR planning. You can do fun stuff like cross bearings and so on. You'd also get the flight path vs terrain chart that you mentioned in the beginning. Maps are based on OSM, think you can also choose different display modes somewhere Cheers
June 14, 20223 yr I didn't know Plan G worked with MSFS, thanks. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
