Updating MSFS

Featured Replies

Greetings. I get the notice to upgrade the USA, click it, get to the "store" and there does not appear any way to access the update. u=Used to be there would be the page to update what you have from MS. I'm stumped.

Just start the sim like normal and it should show update after the splash screens load.  I didn't update anything from the store.

Don't you get the World Update in the Marketplace.  Do check Content Manager as there was some updates there as well. I am running Steam and not Store version.

You have to go to the marketplace to get it for free, otherwise it isn't actually installed.

The start-up update was to deal with other issues / minor bug fixes - it wasn't very big.

I also found loads of updates in content manager, starting with the Aviat Husky at the top, then maybe another 15 in the list, mainly updates to the world update scenery packs - looked like all of the previous ones, including USA round 1.

The one good change is that I notice you don't have to go to the xbox app first anymore.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Been away for a week. ~3Gb seems like a rather large update. Of course this is before going to the marketplace and getting WU10. According to release notes:

General
• Added localization for Latam Spanish and Simplified Chinese
• Fixed a crash when losing overall connection
• Updated AIRAC cycle 2206
• Improved long range visibility of the windsocks
• Fixed searching of POIs in the world map

I have not started MSFS for a couple of weeks and I now get a mandatory 13.75 Gb update.

That wd be fine except it never reaches 100% and keeps falling back from 90+% to less than 50%.

Anybody else had that issue?

Thx

Philippe
