The first non-stop flight of Qantas QF05 from Perth YPPH to Rome Fiumicino LIRF has departed.

The take-off from Perth took place at 22.34 (LT) and the landing is estimated at LIRF for tomorrow 23 June at 07.45 (LT).

Currently the plane has passed Cocos Island in the Indian Ocean and exceeded 3000 km of flight and there are about 10,000 km to arrive at LIRF. (from Flightradar24)

The Boeing 787-9 VH-ZNF Dreamliner of Qantas flight QF6, has just taken off from runway 16R of Rome FCO and will land in Perth after about 16 hours of flight.

Time to resurface DRW runway. 😁Its a shame the last one was AOG

As well as the restart of LHR SIN SYD on the the 380Q

Exciting times ahead for QF with sunrise and Winton.

Thanks for posting this, I hadn't seen this one yet. Looks like it comes in at number 16 out of the current 30 longest flights.

Quite a flight! The world keeps getting smaller everyday!
