July 3, 20223 yr We’ll, close enough. We’re both Bay Area boys. Still live here, just closer to Santa Rosa. Fog rolls in every night cooling things off. Couldn’t live anywhere else. Cheers, Mark

July 3, 20223 yr A lot of Morse apps only teach you to read the code, not to send it. This one is opposite, it only teaches how to send Morse, not read it. Of course if you can send it, then you can read it but your understanding will be physical instead auditory. So you will send faster than you can read. But when do you need to pound out Morse with a key in aviation? Still, you can learn to read Morse with this app. Steam has a couple other Morse more expensive adult level apps without all the colorful images. They specialize in reading the code by ear. Sounds are played and you type what you are hearing on the keyboard. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. July 3, 20223 yr I have no idea how mother cat teaches the kittens to hide behind a cardboard box and peek around the corner in order to learn how to hunt stealthily. The kittens do it without ever having seen big cats do it. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. He was living in Rohnert Park. But I'm the same way about the desert southwest. When I was in the Marine Corps I was stationed at Twentynine Palms long enough to become a desert rat. The Bay Area would be too cold for me. Like Mark Twain said, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. July 3, 20223 yr Administrators I'll take the Bay Area weather over the desert any day of the week! July 3, 20223 yr Author I bask in it Charlie. (Not bake, bask). It's 8:51 right now and already 81 degrees outside. It'll probably get to 100 again today. Love it! Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
July 3, 20223 yr Theres a lot to be said for the dry heat. For many of the years I lived in Dallas, the summer humidity was around 30 - 35%. 100 degrees with low humidity feels a lot better than 85 with high humidity. | Dave | I've been around for most of my life. There's always a sunset happening somewhere in the world that somebody is enjoying.
July 3, 20223 yr Author Dry heat beats damp cold any day. And I love the 300+ days a year of sunshine. Of course we keep the house air conditioned to 80-82 degrees in the summer. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.

July 3, 20223 yr Author We do get the seasonal changes. We have winter with a bit of snow. Never more than a few inches. The city doesn't have any snowplows. Our snow hardly ever lasts more than a day. And the temperature can get below freezing. Our trees get the fall foliage and the flowers get the spring bloom. Roswell is in the transition zone between the desert and the prairie. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
July 3, 20223 yr I remember a comedy skit where the comedian was responding to a friend that lived in Phoenix and it was 110 degrees that day. ”My friend said yeah, it was 110 today, but it’s a dry heat.” Comedian responds, “Yeah, so’s an oven but you don’t stick your head in there.” 😁
July 4, 20223 yr Author Well, damp or dry, 350 degrees is a little over the top. Which brings up another question. Is Hell a dry heat? Noel Edited July 4, 20223 yr by birdguy The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
