Tiller help please

Hi:

I'm using my Thrustmaster Airbus sidestick "twist" as a tiller.  For someone reason, airplanes keep pulling slightly to the left.  I've checked the calibrations numerous times both in the sim and through its own software.  In FSUIPC, I have the twist set as "Send to FS as normal axis" as directed by FSUIPC DEV because of conflicts between different airplanes.  In P3Dv5.3, the axis is set to "Axis Steering Set".

In P3Dv5, I have sensitivity 20 and null 20.

Any help, thanks!

Make sure that you don't have asymmetric thrust or a moderate to strong crosswind--both can cause you to drift during taxi even with a centered tiller.  The effects of crosswind on taxi, especially for large acft, are somewhat exaggerated.

I use a program called DIView from the Leo Bodnar website to look at inputs coming from my joystick axes when something seems amiss.  You can also use FSUIPC's logging feature to live-display the offsets that report axis values on the window title bar or in a separate window.

Thanks.  I'll give that a try.  I know it isn't asymmetric thrust as I watch the N1 and it can't be a x-wind because the pull is always left.

Hi,

there is a problem with the "twist-poti" on the Thrustmaster Airbus Sidestick. It's because of the to short cables inside the upper stick handle where the poti is installed. There are a lot of threads when you search Google "thrustmaster sidestick twist poti" about this problem.

Thanks.  Unfortunate it's not an easy fix/tweak.  Sounds much too technical for me.  Probably going to have to live with it.  Crappy product(s) as usual.

Not that this completely relevant: I had the same problem with my old Logitech joystick on the PMDG 744. Tried all the things you have and it was only resolved by buying a new Joystick. Now it works perfectly with no allowances, offsets etc.

I used to have a saitek type3 joystick and it's Z axis drift, I made a surgery to offset the potentiometer a little, then the auto calibration drift it away again
