July 24, 20223 yr China has 44 million tons or 38% of the world's reserves of rare earth minerals and they produce far more than any other nation. The USA has only 1.5 million tons of reserves and is the second largest producer, but imports most of what it needs from other countries. Russia has 10% of world reserves. Europe has and produces so little that it doesn't even appear on this map: https://www.mining.com/web/rare-earth-elements-where-in-the-world-are-they/ We had better hope that Vietnam and Brazil step up to the plate. Not a good situation when one considers how much of this stuff the world will need in order to do all the things that we're told we must do over the next 20 years.
