Flying with Fenix A320, hard to dedicate time?

I do sometimes wonder why some people are so hung up on doing long hauls if they don't have the time for it... Why not do shorter hops?

Maybe because you want to challenge yourself to use all of the aircraft's range, including a MTOW takeoff, and see if you got the planning right. Or you want to simulate a given real-world operation, maybe because you've flown that flight yourself. Or maybe you want to do a flight to a location that simply can't be reached without a longish leg (Perth, Azores etc.).

All of these are reasons why I like to do longer legs, and I like to use time acceleration because I only have a limited amount of time to dedicate to simming (and leaving the sim running while I do other things doesn't fit into my schedule either).

Well, yes, those are some good reasons. 😉

Yes, its located under MENU > CONFIG within the MCDU. I haven't had any issues with it. To un-pause, simply disable the same option (config menu) and the flight will continue.

It's the only aircraft I've been able to use Pause at TOD correctly. I'm guessing that's because the aircraft systems are external. I'll have to check if the fuel burn still happens.

If this is referring to the Fenix, then you are either 1) deliberately being provocative, or 2) delusional. Just by lacking save/restore doesn't place the Fenix in the "beta toy" category.

Provacative yes , delusional no. Wanting a save restore feature before purchase is not a sin . Yes without one it is useless to me . After a long time sifting through various forums asking people if it existed . Nicely I will say not provacatively , Getting half answers to a direct question as if I was committing a cardinal sin . I emailed Fenix who gave a quick accurate no. Fair enough I said will purchase when available . So yes still an incomplete beta to ME maybe not others who seem to not need it. How I dont know must have plenty of time or skip a lot of things. Enjoy the fenix I am sure it is an excellent plane but no PMDG.

Well done I got one flight done today , LOWI to EGPH . Setup preflight took 40 minutes , had to save my PMDG at the gate as real life got in the way  . Continued my flight 2 hours later  completed in one sitting. That happens once in a blue moon normally get an hour.  What a godsend that save flight was there would never have got off the ground.

Being able to save a flight should be a basic function of any add-on aircraft, especially one that can fly 4 or 5 hour legs. That means a CTD can ruin your day, especially for those of us who only have time to fly on weekends.
