July 28, 20223 yr I really enjoy the Fenix A320, but it's hard to fly because I have to have dedicated time to do it. The main problems: 1. Saved flights don't work. 2. 2X time compression is not very useful. 3. Transit Option doesn't work. 4. The is no real pause, causing my PC to run hard and waste power. So how do you guys do it? Am I just missing something obvious? I'm thinking about getting a refund, but if Fenix is going to fix this I'm fine waiting. BTW "other vendors" support options 1,3 and have time compression up to 8X which seems to work. I can save the flight and return later, transit to descent on the other, and use time compression. Thanks!
July 28, 20223 yr Mainly I fly short flights or save long flights for times when I can get the plane to cruise, go do something else, then come back when it's time to start descending. I do the same with any airliner flights. July 28, 20223 yr 95% of my flights are around 1 -1/4 hours. I never use accelerated time I have no idea what Transit Option even is. There is a pause function in MSFS.

There is a pause function in MSFS. "Transit Option" , sorry I forget the name. In the drop down menu there's a >> button that if you have a flight plan filed lets you jump ahead to say, descent. I've found jumping ahead to descent works pretty well with the Leo Maddog. It does not work with the PMDG 737 or Fenix A320. They end up in the trees. The problem with the pause function is the sim stays running using lots of power. I don't like leaving the pc on for an extended time wasting power. That reminds me: I'm going to try suspending the process, works in unix great.

July 28, 20223 yr So you want a refund from Fenix because there is no „pause“ in MSFS which pauses the whole process and puts it to a hibernate state? ok….
July 28, 20223 yr Don’t quite get this, either. Setting timers to 15 (wink ;-)) won't necessarily do this plane justice. You do need to bring some time. As bob says, my flights are usually between 45mins and 2hrs and I always find the time. If not I would not even thinks about blaming anybody else except me. 2x acceleration works fine btw for me, time travel I have neither seen nor used since back to the future. July 28, 20223 yr I agree with this concern. I have bought the fenix a320 and pmdg 737. Although the fenix is good I fly the 737 95% of the time because you can't save a flight.
July 28, 20223 yr As bob and dad said, 45m - 2hr flights, plenty of realistic routes to do. You know the beast so control the beast. Don´t ask for a refund yet; I've just discovered another way: QuantumLeap. More details here: After selecting DIR TO and making the leap to the desired waypoint, you need to adjust the fuel load in the MCDU>CONFIG>FUEL. After that, do not reimport the flightplan from Simbrief. You may risk getting refueled. If this happens, readjust fuel immediately. Edit: @Aamir, can you add this Jump Ahead feature in an update, please? From my ignorance, it appears to be simpler than adding support for higher simrates...
