If you cannot make 1-1:20 for a flight then flight simming might not be for you. But returning the Fenix becasue you cannot find the time and want them to "fix it" is breath taking.😂 Hehe. After 22 years of flight simming mainly with airliners, I finally discover its not for me. Maybe I should reconsider my life decisions.

I've tried 2 air coolers and both speed up when MSFS is running, paused or not. There's nothing wrong with the computer if the game is "paused" but the cpu has high utilization. That's actually a software problem. Hey Thanks guys! This Quantan Leap and Low Power Option sound promising. Your PC gets hot when you are running your case is no good, or cooling is inadequate. I have never had PC that had temperature problems. Edited July 29, 20223 yr by Bobsk8

Me neither and I have done 14 hr flights nonstop in FSX without OOM's in the PMDG 777 and my Cpu or Gpu never overheated one time. Its called maintaining proper hardware with proper cooling. No problems in MSFS with the Fenix or the Maddog either. Edited July 29, 20223 yr by jbdbow1970

If you need x4 and saves to do a flight then yer airliners might not be for you. In 30 years Ive never used a save or x2 x4 x8 for any fight, but it might be I'm just good at planing a woping 1-1:30 hours a head of me. I dont find that hard you clearly do and need an aircraft to fast forward time and save also just to do a flight! Might be best to try GA's and a good 5 mile flight at best. You might be able to pull that off all in real time! Edited July 29, 20223 yr by Nyxx David Murden. My temps are what is to be expected for air cooling.

So preflight 30 minutes + climb 30 minutes + 0 cruise + 30 minutes descent? That leaves 0 for cruise? Although for the Fenix I could skip the pre-flight by starting on the runway. I think. Does that work?

Does that work? I preflight in about 8 minutes, on the ramp, using the EFB. One hour flight, and landing about 1.2 hours from start. No big deal. Time compression sucks, I would rather watch a Youtube video. Edited July 29, 20223 yr by Bobsk8

It’s funny that you preflight in 8 minutes, obviously taking shortcuts there, and can’t comprehend why someone might want to fast forward in cruise.

July 29, 20223 yr Telling others their problems aren't valid because someone somewhere else doesn't have the problem or does things differently, immensely helpful... 48 minutes ago, timers15 said: Although for the Fenix I could skip the pre-flight by starting on the runway. I think. Does that work? The Fenix comes with several panel states including a ready-to-go-state with engines running; you would only have to program the FMGC according to your flight. I personally do things as realistically as I can which uses just as much time as it does IRL - nowhere near 8 minutes - but you can use the aircraft in whatever way you like, so if one wanted to just hop in and get going it's entirely possible to do just that.

Sometimes I forget MSFS is running and my virtual pax will have their flight cancelled. But I'd estimate my average to be 2 days? I don't use ready to go state, but turn around state. Doesn't take that long to load flight into MCDU and ready to taxi. Just takes some practice.
