At FL180 and descending into the Santiago valley. Descending? Now? You can’t be serious!!

The mountains are finally behind us! Over a small town north of Santiago. It’s called Colina and that light blue lake down there interests me. Wikipedia says this: Ayres de Chicureo is a locality in the province of Chacabuco north of Greater Santiago and this light blue lake is artificial and is being used as huge swimming pool

Thanks for this. Always enjoy seeing and exploring Chile in the sim. My favorite base of operations is Iquique on the coast in the far north of Chile. Huge 3,000 ft. mountain of sand parallels the runway. Haven't seen Iquique in MSFS yet though, because I haven't tackled purchase/installation of MSFS yet. Would love to see screens of the airport and area, though, if you could oblige.

Excellent shots and scenery buddy! 😉

I mean you flying a bit to deep with a Jumbo - at some pics..🤣

Many thanks, John, yes of course I can do. It will be a separate thread, as I can't add more pics here. Hope you don't mind 🙂

Thanks a lot, my friend. Yeah I knew that I was flying too low. I did that on purpose. That's the beauty about not flying in the real world, you can even enjoy a glass of wine while you sit in front of your monitor and explore the world 😄😄

Great scenery bernd, is the B747f that Salty Simulations modification?

Darryl

Spectacular pictures, bernd, of a most remarkable geographical region of the world...!

(Like the Atlas Air 747 too, they would be the very last carrier to receive a 747 (-8F) ...so, the 747 saga will end with them...) ...

Many thanks P_7878. All good stories, even the one of the 747, must come to an end eventually. That is why I like it so much that we can keep it alive in our sims 🙂

I was just searching for Cerro Torre and Torres del Paine, but it seems there is still no good representaion of these sensational mountains. What a pity for the geographic travellers, like @bernd1151 and some others...
