August 12, 20223 yr Nothing definitive here just 1 pilots observations and opinions. First I'll say both are great planes. The Cessna appeals to my twin side while the HJET appeals to my high side. The Cessnas avionics are spot on which is also the case of the HJETs. The big differentiation is in execution. IOW I can climb higher, faster and with less noise in the HJET. IOW a much cleaner long distance flight The Avionics in the HJET need some polish when WT gets to spend some time on the 3000 while the 414AW does well with the current PMS750. Flight wise I still prefer the quieter HJET but the 414AW does not disappoint with it's excellent sound set. I plan to spend a bit of time in both birds and luv to land in both. Also the HJET has VNAV which I'm falling in luv with. Any other opinions are appreciated for those on the fence. Also the HJET is $25 while I believe the 414AW is still $40. August 12, 20223 yr Glad you are enjoying both, each in separate classes of aviation. I have both in my fleet. Criteria for use in flights totally different. The 414 benefits from 3rd party GTN innovations. The HJ benefits at this time from G300 enhancements at this time unique to the HJ due to the HJ developers efforts, conferring with WT. More of those enhancements to G3000 and AP are on final approach to coincide with the MSFS SU10 official sim update. I fly the 414 for flights averaging 2.2 hours @ avg of 220 knots. I fly the HJ for flights averaging 2 to 4 hours @ averages of 330 to 375 knots based on distance and altitude. For a flight from St Louis to Denver I would marginally pick the 414. For a flight from Indianapolis or St Louis to Denver I would pick the HJ in a heartbeat. For a flight from Denver to Orange County, CA or to LAX or San Diego it would again be the HJ. From KC to Indianapolis it would be the 414. To each his own. Both are stellar. August 12, 20223 yr Two of the best out there. Get both. And if you absolutely have to choose just one? C414. It’s that good.
August 12, 20223 yr I am really impressed with how good the C414 is. I held off getting it while it was in beta but since I got it a couple of weeks ago I cannot stop flying it. Definable one of the best simulated aircraft I have every flown on any platform. I really hope the developers will develop it a little further. I would love a basic maintenance capacity. MSFS 2024. This is great news, both the electrical and maintenance simulation. When complete this will be by far the best twin simulation I have ever experienced. Really solid work and very impressed with the commitment of the developers to keep going. MSFS 2024. August 14, 20223 yr Seems a little bit of an odd comparison to me, HJET to CJ4 would make more sense, or C310 to C414. If I was going to compare, then I'd go for the similarities - they are both by Devs that seem to be constantly improving their products, and are both good in terms of "state of the sim". Without the PMS or TDS both are handicapped by the current state of the navigation system. Got both, far more flights in the 414 with the PMS.... May even up after G3000 is sorted.. G My comparison is because I like both planes but wanted to know how others enjoy flying. I'm leanining towadrs the HJET because of it's simplistic approach to flight. Both planes appeal to me. But I want to know how simmers approach flying. sp Edited August 14, 20223 yr by Sky_Pilot071
