FeelThere airport quality?

Recommended Posts

Folks,

With Orbx having a 40% fire sale, I was thinking of picking up a few of their airports.  Particularly LaGuardia, Raleigh-Durham and Stuttgart.  Anyone know how good their quality is?  Ever since Orbx became a portal some of the stuff on there has been hit/miss.

Cheers,

-bbsmitz

LGA and RDU are the best ones If you are going to buy two of them, but that's not saying much.  WU 6 Asobo Stuttgart is much better.

LGA and RDU are good on sale, EDDS is much better from Asobo. The rest is not worth it (maybe KLAX until something better arrives).

I'm surprised to see anyone recommending Feelthere products at any price. They all look terrible for payware.

LGA has one glaring problem in it's tower where Feelthere have taken significant creative liberty, but the terminals and taxiways are great, so if that won't put you off it's passable.

RDU is as bland as it is in reality, so no critique here.

Some of their scenery does look terrible, e.g. Frankfurt. That said, the difference between the MSFS Standard default OMDB and the FeelThere version is light years apart.

Bought during a sale, FeelThere's OMDB is a nice holdover for me until such time as FlyTampa ever decide to release their version.

I’d pick up KRDU if it’s good, but I keep thinking that LVFR is gonna update theirs. Any thoughts?

Cheers, Pete

LVFR stopped doing airports, so I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

They also mentioned they probably aren’t going to update RDU for MSFS since Feelthere has their rendition out.  That’s personally a big disappointment for me.

They are? Now that's surprising, they haven't done a single airport since their port-overs in August 2020. Do you have a link for me?
