SimHanger YouTube channel

Featured Replies

Like many of you, I often visit the SimHanger YouTube channel for good information about the progress of MSFS (and other sims). The material on this channel is of especially high quality. But in the hundreds of times I've visited the channel, I never realized something until this evening -- when someone posted a comment on the channel pointing out this fact. The SimHanger channel name has always been misspelled. An airplane is parked in a hangar, not a hanger. As the commenter mentioned, a sim hanger would be where the pilot hung up his shirt. I don't mean to be petty here. I just thought it was funny.

I usually go to his channel for VR related stuff, and noticed the same thing. He's so meticulous with his content, you'd think he'd have noticed! He's got good content nonetheless.

Very early in his videos - he remarked on this spelling - it is Quite deliberate!! - but I forget his explanation

but It was relevant at the time - I remember

Good channel! Never noticed the misspelling though, lol.

I am not native English speaking. I always thought it was named like that as a reference to the channel owner... a guy who hangs out with flight simming ie. a Sim Hanger

This was my understanding too.  I find Mark's content very interesting indeed and there are a few other channels I like such as overkill, obsidianant and ausflightsimner to name a few.

If you find a channel particularly interesting, perhaps this might be a good thread to post it.
