September 13, 20223 yr Left Baltimore on August 28th for Chicago, then Denver, then to Oregon, winding down the 2022 Indycar racing season. Here two weeks and a day later finds me in Southern California. Here are some photo memories of the trip, which will continue back to Denver, then Indiana for a Saturday college football game, then finishing the trip with a morning flight to Baltimore to arrive in time for the Baltimore Ravens - Miami Dolphins game next Sunday. The Hjet has been richly rewarding as well as the scenery. An incredible value for the price! (Click images for larger views) Late afternoon over Lake Michigan, Chicago coming into view. Reaching my cruise altitude out of Denver on my way to Portland, Oregon, affording a good look at the long, thin Little Snake river as it winds its way out of southern Wyoming, across northwest Colorado. Close up view of Mt Hood, Oregon, on the way into Portland for the Indycar race the weekend before last. On the way from Portland to Monterey, California, capturing a view of Goose Lake, along the Oregon-California border, the narrow Drew's Reservoir trailing behind the tail. Impressive geological formation north of Sacramento, California, while enroute to Monterey, California, for this past weekend's Indycar finale race. On final to Monterey's 28R (KMRY), passing over the incredible Laguna Seca road course, the site for the Indycar race. Unloading the Team Honda Hjet at KMRY, freeware scenery by Starseed is available on Flightsim.to. (Yes! Tom Cruise borrowed heavily from some historic Honda race team graphics for his custom Hondajet livery)! Over the San Fernando Valley, transitioning from the FIM.FERN7 arrival at FIM for the POM VOR to pick up the ILS20R approach to KSNA Orange County/John Wayne. Parked at the great Lyon Air Museum, my favorite haunt at KSNA during the 12 years I lived in Orange County. This KSNA is the payware version from UK2000.
