Tobii Eyetracker not working

Featured Replies

Hi,

I finally have bought the Eye Tracker, however it won't work in MSFS. I could calibrate it without any issues. I had read that it causes issues when you had opentrack installed. I did deinstall that tool, however it didn't help solving my issue. I went to their website to check for solutions, but I think I did everything they wrote. At least all drivers and updates are uptodate.

Is there a way I need to manipulate something on the registry to delete opentrack completely? At least I had read something like that: how would I do that? Or what could be another solution for that issue?

I had the same problem. Search for "NPClient64.dll" in C:\Program Files (x86) and delete it.

After deleting the file, I had to reinstall Tobii Drivers, for some a reason, but it works now. Thanks mate!

1) When I lock to the left and lean forward (to look outside the window) it moves toward the instruments. How can I look toward the left window and lean foward to look e.g on the ground of the left windows?

1a) Same for Circuit Breakers Panel, turning there: no problem, but leaning towards it not working.

2) I disabled Eye Tracking but the when I hold my head still there are still micro movments. How can I disabled this?

I would try but suddently Tobii vanished from the controllers menu. Tobii's support page says to check if energy saving is activated for the USB-hubs, but this cannot be the case, because the red light are still on and I can calibrate it via the software. Therefore, I have no clue why it is not recongnized from msfs after a while.

Follow the guidance. At first disregard the hubs. I do not believe Windows Advanced Power Management applies to hubs.  Find the Tobii device itself in Control Panel, Device Manager, Human Interface Devices, and identify it.  Click on Properties, Advanced, Advanced Power Management, and disable it.  You might do that as well for your hubs but my experience has been controller specific.  I first had this issue with a Saitek yoke, Saitek pedals, and a Saitek Multipanel.  I chased my tail for 2 or three months until I found that Windows Advanced Power Management was the culprit. At the time, a Windows registry patch was needed as well.  Needed both for my system.  Hopefully WAPM is what is ailing your Tobii.  I have one arriving Thursday, so I am paying close attention here.

I think USB energy saving wasn't the reason causing it. I figured out that Tobii stops working for me, if you turn TrackIR off in MSFS (in the camera menu, or via the keyboard shortcut that I have assigned).

Is this just for me, or is there a fix?

I am also struggling here. I got it today, set it up and fired up the sim to configure it and it worked the first time. I shut everything off, fed my kid and put him to bed, started the sim to do a flight and bam, Tobii is no longer present in the Control Options. Pretty annoyed right now.

I figured it out. It shows up in Control Options when sim is started in full windowed mode, as soon as you minimize the sim it disappears from the Control Options and stops working. I'm pretty worked up right now and better get off the internet.

Set your keyboard profile to default and press F12. Apparently there’s a bug logged for 5 months plus on this.

Glad you wrote here, mate. Unfortunately this fix does nothing for me. My Tobii is still not recognized...., are there other solutions that I could try? This is so frustrating.

There is an optional update called Windows Update 21H2, after installing it, Tobii started working again. Even if I deactivate TrackIR and activate it again it keeps working. At least for the moment. I hope it won't broke again.

I am going crazy. It stopped working again. Tobii is not found by msfs... More than 200 dollar and then that.
