October 5, 20223 yr I think, those of us, who have migrated to MSFS, have our fair share of now surplus aircraft in our old FS9/FSX,P3D hangars. And at least for me it's a pity that I can't use them anymore in MSFS, unless I port them over myself. This Convair is such an example. It's the FS9 Tom Gibson, Greg Pepper aircraft, which I had to convert first to FSX, before I could port her over to MSFS. The panel is from the Razbam Fairchild Metro. And for copyright reasons, I will of course keep this bird strictly to myself. It's not perfect (how could it), but it's different and above all, its fun to fly and most of the gauges work 😃 Over Wrangell And over Peterburg shortly after Juneau comes into sight Thanks for viewing Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

October 5, 20223 yr Love the way you're extending the life of some of these classic planes. They're too nice to leave behind. John
October 5, 20223 yr Brings back memories. Frontier served Ft Leonard Wood/Forney AAF with Convair 580s for two daily flights when I manned the Air Force weather station there in the early '70s. The livery you are using feels true to that period. Thanks for posting these. October 6, 20223 yr Great shots! Such atmosphere. Bernd, not to derail this thread, but just curious: since you used the Razbam Metro cockpit, would I be correct in guessing that you've also succeeded in converting the Metro to MSFS with some degree of success? (I bought the Metro for FSX several years ago and for various reasons, mostly unrelated to the quality of the aircraft itself, only used it a handful of times. It would be nice to get some of my money's worth in MSFS!) James
October 6, 20223 yr Author Thank you my friends for your kind comments !! 10 hours ago, honanhal said: Bernd, not to derail this thread, but just curious: since you used the Razbam Metro cockpit, would I be correct in guessing that you've also succeeded in converting the Metro to MSFS with some degree of success? Thank you James; yes I converted the Metro too. It works with the usual limitations (nothing is clickable in the office/you have only a matte exterior). If you like I can take a flight and post a few pictures here.
