October 9, 20223 yr (I continue here from my Part I post...) .... Tromsø lies in Northern Norway, 217 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The city is named after the island of Tromsøya, on which it stands (see my top-down image, shot #6, below, for this island). Tromsøya (island) is connected (on the west) to the nearby island of Kvaløya by the Sandnessund Bridge. On the top-down view shot, it's the thin line, you may spot, just to the west of the Airport, across the waters of Sandnes Strait. This Sandnessund (cantilever) road bridge is also seen in several of my pictures, below. And, towards the south, Tromsø is connected to the mainland by the Tromsø Bridge (and the Tromsøysund Tunnel), which can be also spotted (as a thin line) in my top-down view shot. I've included below a sample of images from a close-up-walking tour (nearabout) this Airport. From a few of these shots, you can clearly visualize the single (18/36) Runway of Tromsø Airport (ENTC), and its geographical orientation, on the western edge of the Tromsøya island. As I'd stated in Part I, in advance of my (actual) simulated flight with the Falcon 50 of Part I, I'd set up first the ILS 36 Approach on the Garmin GTN 750 Trainer. Essentially, part of the ILS 36 procedure for Tromsø (ENTC) involves a straight in approach (northward/003 degrees) for about ~15 nm through waypoints (VAMEN -> ETUTU -> RW36) - see the GTN shots, below. If you wander beyond ~15 nm south of the airport, and are at < 3,000 ft altitude, you will be on head-on collision course with the mountains of Tromsø (as was also observed in my Part I flight). The Garmin GTN 750 Trainer provided me with valuable (advance) situational awareness in this regard (e.g., see, below, the GTN 750 shot of the Terrain Warning while heading south from ENTC, such warnings, I got plenty of, during my GTN pre-simulation). It's to be noted that due to magnetic variations, Tromsø (ENTC) Rwy numbers were changed from (01/19) to (18/36), 3 years ago, effective from 12 Sep. 2019. So, it's mandatory to use the latest Charts of the airport. This scenery add-on has, in fact, provided a fix/update to correct the (18/36) markings and taxiways (as seen on the Ground shots of (18/36) Airport Runway signs, below). This concludes my virtual tour and exploration of Tromsø...! And I now bid Tromsø a fond farewell...as the Arctic sun rises again, in my final shot below, over the beautiful (Norwegian) island of Tromsøya ...! Thanks for your interest...!

October 9, 20223 yr Author Appreciated the comments, all...!! 7 hours ago, johnbow72 said: Wow , glad you are okay ; you must have pulled up just in time ……..😉 There was time, in the (long) past, John, I would have simply pressed/selected the [Go To Terrain] button...here...🙂...to see what happens, but these days are slightly different...even though imaginary.... (I just did a [Dir-To] to [ETUTU], very easy to do, here, via that button so conveniently placed on the RHS of this GTN unit...and I escaped unscathed from this terrain...🙂...) ... This Garmin Trainer is indeed a very nice educational tool...!!
October 10, 20223 yr Always a great narrative to your shots P 7878! And that GTN, my favorite piece of avionics equipment, you use it very well sir! Jack Sawyer
