November 14, 20223 yr Regardless of what platform you use, we are all in this hobby as a result of Flight Simulator through the Sublogic origins. All subsequent platforms and versions were born through the imagination of flying on the home computer. Many, many hours of enjoyment over the decades is a reason to celebrate the anniversary in my books. I agree - still quite a few people using the older sims and anyway P3D is still being actively developed, so it is far from dead. P3Dv4 scenery usually works fine in v5, and you can even use sceneries for FSX if you don't mind the lower resolution textures. The AVSIM library has sceneries for almost everywhere in one form or another. Maybe if there was some reliable data about MSFS and whether or not it is financially viable in the long term (I'm thinking 5 to 10 years) then I'd consider moving, but not until there are more quality aircraft and not if it will need a new GFX card to get the same fps that I get in P3D. The addition of the A310 for free is a big step forward, we're now finally seeing some of the initial MSFS promises being delivered with a more stable platform and most of the features of P3D plus some new ones.
