November 11, 20223 yr Whilst I have been guilty of one or more of these in the past (shamefully some more than once), it's always worth reminding of the basics again: 1. Rename your community folder; 2. Delete your rolling cache; 3. Following the update, download any updates from the store. Depending on whether you use the Store or Steam versions, you may need to reboot your system before the update becomes available. Wishing you all a good update process and hoping that you enjoy all of the new content. November 11, 20223 yr I have over a TB of mods in my Community folder and have never renamed/cleared the folder for a MSFS update. Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have yet to experience an issue. Obviously sometimes mods need updating to stay compatible with MSFS updates, but to my knowledge nothing in the MSFS update process ever touches the Community folder.
November 11, 20223 yr ad 1, using the addon-linker app does the same job. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

The key here is AFTER install if you run into issues, sure try with a clean community folder to rule out 3rd party addon's. Thomas Derbyshire

Yep, vastly overplayed diversionary tactic in the official Discord and forum, more often than not the problem under discussion was actually a problem with the Asobo update itself and not related to any interaction with third party mods
