Try this. As said by @JimBrown, there's a new way to set priorities after SU10:

Thanks for the suggestion. I gave it a try, but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. Perhaps I am not doing this properly? I changed the DD Chicago Scenery to “1” while the Asobo KCGX is set to “0.”

Cheers, Pete

You have to set your Asobo Meigs KCGX to "3", that's the correct way, not to "0". The allowed settings are "1" (for the lowest priority), "2" (higher priority) and "3" (hightest priority).

Thanks! I figured I was doing this wrong. I’ll try again using your recommendation.

Welcome. In case it still fails, post here as a text your content.xml file so I can take a look.

It's working well for me and that method for setting priorities is the currently Asobo's recommended method after SU10. Remember to put the exact same name of the Meigs airport as it appears in your Official folder after SU11.

Cheers, Ed

Does anyone have any pointers on how to optimise the DD Chicago scenery, as it seems Drzewiecki Design aren't going to look at it.

The scenery is great, but it is the worst performing by far on my PC.
I bought it from Orbx, and London and Sydney scenery are absolutely fine, but Chicago brings my quite powerful PC (13900k + 3080Ti) to its knees, 12-15 fps sometimes.  😕

I am wondering if something is possible like how people have optimised the AI traffic textures (FSLTL).

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Strange... on my 8 year old CPU and 1070 video card, I can fly around Chicago at the 30 fps (50% of monitor refresh rate) that I have set in MSFS..

Yes, strange Bert.  But there are lots of people complaining over at the DD forum about crippling performance loss (and also here on avsim), some are saying single figures on high performance machines!

There must be something out of the ordinary going on, as DD say they can't reproduce the issue either so they can't fix it.

I have all settings to "High", not "Ultra".. could that have something to do with it?

Maybe!  It is easy enough to drag the DD Chicago folder in and out of the community folder, so I will give it a go at some stage.  Thanks for the suggestion.
