I agree as well it's a must have... but until something is done to counter (smooth) FSX's wind shifting issues I'm afraid I must do without. The 180 degree wind shifts at most altitudes are very annoying and would tear an aircraft apart in real life. This isn't an ASX problem at all. I just use FSX default, static weather now until such time as a smoothing feature can be added to ASX similar to what Peter Dowson was able to do with FSUIPC.Again, this is NOT a dig at ASX which is a fabulous addon!DougDell XPS 720H2C (3.73GHz) | 2GB DDR2 @ 1066 | 300GB RAID0, 10k RPM (C: ) | 500GB RAID1 (D: ) | 2 x 768MB nVidia 8800GTX (FW 158.45b) | SB X-Fi Sound | MS Force Feedback 2 | Vista Ultimate | DirectX 10.0

Don't leave home without it :-)Really adds a more realistic challenge to sim flying.

Yap, definitely a must. Fix for the perenial wind problem otw - just turn off virtual stations for now.Love the AI and self aircraft turbulence simulation, and the hurricane simulation. You can get some really rough weather out there, mind the pax, and don't land that C172 behind a 747 - bad choice unless you wait a few minutes.ASG is quite nice too, although reserving final opinion until FEX comes outCheers,Etienne

Tried your procedure today during our multiplay flight training over Western Kentucky, worked great - we flew VFR & I'm sure we should have been IFR - vis was somewhat limited for formation flying. Thanks Jim & Mike - appreciate it! We are now happy campers. erv

High end with 5090, VR, 2020 & 2024.

Love the program, Jim! won't fly without it.

>The problem with the haze layer ending abruptly at higher>elevations resulting in a definative line with the mountains>sticking above it has not been corrected in ActiveskyX which>makes flying in mountainous areas look like Cr@p. The FSX>converted version of Activesky 6.5 does not have this problem.> So I use AS6.5. AS6.5 will also work for both FS9 (which I>still fly) and FSX.>>If you are only going to fly FSX, I would still get FSX and>hope that Hi Fi will fix the above problem.>>MikeDoes anyone know if this haze problem is going to be fixed?
