X-Plane 12 Beta

Featured Replies

X-Plane 12 Beta makes me think about a  2024 Super GTX Car model. Today you can already be one of the distinguished owners if you

purchase it. But it's only in Beta development! The car comes with four wheels but no spare tire yet. It has only one windshield wiper on the front.

The second one is under development. The car comes without radio so far but it will come out next month. Headlights are installed but without light bulbs

so far. It has 6 gears but the reverse will be delivered in four months. Only front seats are mounted so far. The back seats are under development. Airbags are

not functional so far. They are under strict engineering progress. There is a major bug with the brakes but our engineering department is working hard to fix it.

The engine without cooling agent so far has only 5 cylinders in function out of 6 projected

for next spring. Windows have been designed but will be available by next summer. etc etc... :-))

Note: I have purchased the Beta version of X-Plane 12 but it's on my external hard driver. I use only MSFS 2020 so far since it's flyable!

The rest of your post isn't required as it is covered by the above.

Without explaining what your issues are, this point is meaningless.  I am just about to complete a 600 mile flight in the Aerobask  DA50 RG which has been error free and enjoyable.

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

I guess you’re new to flightsimming and X-Plane beta process.

First up, welcome.

The only good thing about MSFS is the marketing they basically spent on X-Plane. Welcome.

Default C172 is basically "training ready", steam guage and G1000 versions both available.

F14 tomcat is a worthy default plane to learn

S76 always was always a good heli, plenty more to keep you going, lot of people fly zibo for tubeliner, dont have a link to that at hand, Sparky744 is also coming along nicely, but both those are a bit much for a beginner.

If you bought XP on steam, AIUI, email LR support and they will send you an XP11 key - that isn't beta and is absolutely rock solid

If you bought XP12 via their website, your key will also work for XP11, download here

well, that is certainly not my experience, quite on the contrary.

I only miss a better ATC and some additional functionality in airport ground services. Other than that I feel XP12 with my selecton of aircraft to fly in it provide me a complete experience, with the additional advantage that I can test flight n some different types of aircrafaft and find plausible responses from the flight model, something I can only find to that same level in DCS ior IL-2.

(*) strangely I couldn't find your username ?
