I read there are cancellations galore to flights to Hawaii. Often a tourist destination. But 2 volcanoes spewing has some of them worried.

Mauna Loa (wide mountain) is the largest volcano in the world. I read a message on another forum that houses in the historical lava flow zones are about $50,000 which is cheap. There is no homeowners insurance available so it's a risk. Lava can take many directions, so usually a house will escape for many decade or a century.

There's bound to be unprepared hiker sightseers coming to grief on the lookout trails.

There are many other performances of Aida on you tube, many of which are very slightly vulgar, so cannot be posted here. Too bad because they are very, very funny!

Don't know about intercontinental, some flights to PHTO were CANXed.  The big deal now is if the "saddle road" that connects east and west Hawaii Is gets overrun.  Currently they are saying maybe in a week.

I suppose if the road is about to be covered in lava, there will be a few rubber neckers rushing out there in their auto to see and get trapped. 

I would still travel to Hawaii and not worry about it, those Volcanos are fairly isolated in their local regions and Hawaii is so big you don't need to be near them. I have one north of where I live that one is now acting up with earthquakes right now in the crater lake, when that one does go off we get a bit of ash in the atmosphere that creates haze but too far north for me to worry about. Nature doing what nature does. 

The biggest issue would be flight cancellations because of ash, you may get stuck in Hawaii for a week but that is not a bad thing

The FAA NOTAMed a TFR around the eruption/flow 0 - 1500 ft AGL.  But if you don't have a remote pilot certificate and just do recreational hobby drone flying not sure how much of a hammer FAA has for violating the TFR.
