AIG AI not showing

Featured Replies

Not really a new topic but it is the first time for me.

I had a computer fail and had to re-install quite a bit, including P3D and AIG.

P3D has eventually got back to fully working, including RC4 but AIG-OCI is defying all attempts to get it to work.

I downloaded the latest Manager and Traffic controller.

I have loaded planes, which I can see in the various folders, along with their flight plans.

I have checked that the paths seem to be correct.

And there are entries in the addons menu, which point to xml files, these in turn start the OCI entries (or should)

I have battled for a week now and have got nowhere. Not a single AI plane anywhere.

Anyone have an idea of what I could have missed?

Ian

Same problem "here".

Just close Traffic Controller and open it again.

Check to be sure there's an entry in simobjects.cfg referencing AIG as well.

What would the entry be?

Is your Traffic setting in P3D set to zero?

The op didn't specify if he is using AIGTC. But if he is, which is the default in AI Manager then it wouldn't matter what the traffic setting in the sim is set to.

@IanHarrison, do you have BGL and AIGFP files for the major airlines? BGL ones require the P3D traffic slider to be a decent percentage. Set both it and GA aircraft to 100%.

For AIGFP files TC needs to be running. When you maximise it is the map centred on your location?

If you open AI Manager and look at your installed airlines there’s a column that shows either BGL or AIGFP. Find a major airline and relocate to a major airport at that airline’s country. Ai should be visible.

There are now a few planes at some airports. I have set Traffic to 100% in the sim just in case.

Downloads are all in AIGFP format. TC is running and set to 100%.

The TC map shows the plane centred and shows planes' tracks.

All airports are listed and flight plans are there as well. However, not all the airlines that I tried to load have loaded.

So, it would seem to me that something has gone wrong with the installation process.

I will re install airlines from the OCI menu and see what happens. Hopefully that will solve the mystery.

Thanks for the help.

Ian, I would post on the AIG forum as Kai may suggest a different solution.

Ray,

I now have quite a few planes. The problem was me!🤓

I had completely misunderstood how to install in the OCI when it required to be shown where the zip file was.

I now understand and the files are going where they ought to be.

In a few days, I should be back to full airports.

I am exactly facing the same issue.

All is well now. I just reset the paths and they are now recognised.
