SXAD release El Paso (KELP) for P3Dv5

Recommended Posts

Released on Simmarket:

simMarket: EL PASO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - KELP P3D5

Lovely suprise this morning, I wondered if they were still working on any projects and there you have it. El Paso International Airport (KELP) and surrounding area including Biggs Field (KBIF).

As always with SXAD airports, the quality looks great and the performance will likely be great too.

As per their FB Page:

Quote

Expect P3Dv4 and legacy installers in the very near future, along with Global matched photoscenery.

Look forward to whatever they make next, given their list of quality releases, I can't wait to see what it will be!

I like SXAD and have their HOU and SAT but this seems a little pricey to me.

It's really positive we still get new addons for P3D5.

Pricing is only up 1 or 2 dollars from his KHOU and KSAT sceneries.

A pleasant surprise.  That bridges a giant gap between Phoenix and Austin...now if we could get him to do Tucson Intl, my SW USA in P3Dv5 would be essentially complete...

Any idea how to contact him? I have been looking for a decent KTUS (my current home town) without success!

Happy New Year!

Update: Just found their subforum here and posted a request there. If anybody is interested in getting KTUS done, please add to my post!

I just bought the KELP.  Very nice scenery that is similar in quality to his other products.  I also have KAMA, KSAT, KHOU, KBNA,  KBHM and KCRP.  His sceneries fill a much needed void for my sim.

The product page at Simmarket says: "Product images show blending of ortho-imagery with DEFAULT Prepar3D landclass textures, for ortho-imagery blending with Global Landclasses a free download is included".

Anyone know where to find that download?

A good number of the gates in the SXAD El Paso scenery ADE do not match the SODE definitions or the markings on the ramp at those gates...for example spot B9 in the ADE is marked as B8 on the ramp and is recognized as B8 by SODE.

GSX won't work on those mismatched parking spots--at least five of them that I've found.

I sure wish Shaun would add some ADE-SODE-signage crosschecks to his workflow to make sure they all line up properly--this sort of sloppy ADE work has been present in at least four of his more recent add-ons.

At nearly $25 there really needs to be more attention to detail.

New day, new El Paso update:

Quote

in addition to the P3D v4 installer now available, I've uploaded two small additional installers on simMarket to fix the error on gates B7-10 one each for P3Dv4 and v5. So there is need to recompile and re-upload the whole installers again.
Also there is now a zip file with the Global landclass color matched photoscenery available on the download page for customers.
Thanks!

I agree.

There are issues with some SODE jetways that do not connect at BNA as well.

My one major pet peeve for scenery creators is to spend time and create a decent, accurate ADE.
