Audio stutters

Featured Replies

Disable Sleep mode on all usb devices and also all HID devices in the device manager, that should eliminate the crackles.
I found less (no!) crackles using my sound bar that uses hdmi for sound. Gone are the days of separate sound cards. I merely use mine for buttkicker now.

My USB Power Settings were not set for "sleep disable". I have done that (then rebooted) and it seems far better. Did a short A320 flight last night and only had one sound pop/cack across the full flight as opposed to 10+; also this particular sound "pop" may have been related to an unrelated application settings change I made outside the sim at about the same time. This seems pretty promising. Thanks for the idea Ian!

there were rogue files  left over a  from Sonic suite uninstall ( ASUS fancy audio ) that was lurking around . I used SS3 A-Volute cleanup to evaporate it , things look promising, just now checking its not navigraph simlink. that little program used to give issues from time to time in the old sim , fingers crossed 🤞

Hey guys reviving this thread 🙂

I’ve just built a new system (see my sig).

I use also FSLTL and FSrealistic.

The thing is I get this issue using FSHud.

Everytime FShud voice is playing I get audio mess - stutters and volume going up and then back down. Eventually I hear nothing from the FSHud instructions but the volume of other sounds like FSrealistic suddenly increases.

I thought it was a mute on last focus issue but I checked the settings and they are OK.

Any help appreciated

Shom
