January 31, 20233 yr Tony, could you make a test flying from LPPT? My friend's M1 (Macbook Pro 16) doesn't want to fly from or into there 😕 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I'll report a bug to LR Dear Tony, thank you so much for testing and your feedback. I just passed it to José Rebelo, and while I don't think he will open yet another ticket, because LR Support never responded back to other than the first ticket, asking for additional information and then leaving him with no answer at all. Maybe other M1 / M2 users can start reporting it too, and between youtube activity, Austin can pay some attention to XP's development... (sorry but indeed it's a shame that stuff like this isn't fixed for months - since then 2nd beta, as well as all of the inconsistencies with weather that presently make XP unflyable for many, at least me and this other portuguese user with a Mac which he actually bought just for XP12 😕 ) Edited January 31, 20233 yr by cagarini Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

My goal would be to run at 1440p for best upscaling (2.0x) results, and that does not work. Setting that resolution does not work, and it never worked in XP12 (since first release). Running 1080p upscaled to 5K just looks really bad, and FSR makes that worse even, of course. - Currently giving X-Plane 12.10 a spin on Shadow PC. 10 years with X-Plane now, since 10.20
February 1, 20233 yr Author Moderator I've posted some screenshots here over the UK I think it looks quite nice, and most importantly, it's really smooth (even over central london, loaded with objects). The antialiasing I agree isn't the greatest, but it's acceptable to me and doesn't bother me too much
February 1, 20233 yr I'm not a Mac users but I did spot that there's a test version of the free version of SASL 3.16 out yesterday that now has ARM Mac support.https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/282813-sasl-316-preview-64-bit-lua-vm-apple-silicon-native-support/ That's still some way short of a full commercial version release but it is significant progress towards being able to run without Rosetta, Edited February 1, 20233 yr by Matchstick
February 8, 20233 yr Wonder if the 03r1 scenery recut might have solved the problems around LPPT / LPMR / LPAR / LPST for ARM users ? I got up to "Finishing asynchronous loading", and it was hanging there for a few minutes before I did a "Force Quit". MBP M1 Max. Fully spec'ed out.

February 7, 20242 yr Sorry for my late reply to this topic Tony. I recently got back to sim flying again with XP12. I'm using a Mac Studio M1 Max. It has 32GB Ram, but only a 500GB SSD because I'm mostly using external storage. XP12 has worked fairly well for me, but as I am new to XP I still have to discover how to either install or access better scenary. My biggest issues have been using 2 external Lenovo 2k screens. I had a lot flicker and parallel lines on the screen appear. I spent a lot of time playing with colour profiles, resolution and refresh rate to improve things. I'm still not totally sure which gfx settings are best for my setup to get the most out of it. I have enjoyed flying from my local airport in Derry, Northern Ireland though.
