AI Flow & AI Ground

Featured Replies

I downloaded AI Flow & AI Ground when I was using P3D with AIG.

Do they work well with FSLTL and MSFS?

They do work but I stopped using them since once in a while they cause my aircraft to get stuck at a specific altitude. Quite nasty when you are trying to land and the aircraft won't descend.

Flightsim rig:
CPU: AMD 5900x  | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL
Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906
Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking

I use both of them for the last 2 weeks with FSLTL and FS Traffic and they work without problems for me.

The biggest plus for AI Flow is it fixes the slow enroute speed of AI Traffic. They are now cruising at 420 - 450 Kts.

Ciao Michael

Everything you run will of course take some performance, but with these it is an absolutely miniscule amount.  They have both been updated in the last few days to fix a few more 'bugs'. :smile:

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Oh my — I had this happen a couple of weeks ago and had no thought to connect it to AI Flow or Ground (which I was in fact using). Is this a known bug?

James

Everyone.

It's important to note that there have been updates for both within the last 36 hours. I've been using them all day, and I can't say it's the best AI traffic experience in MSFS that I've personally had. That is with FSLTL.

I tried it but after seeing ai planes jump up and down while on approach I stopped using it. I am still tempted to use it but only for its cruise speed adjustments. Is it possible to switch everything else off? I only saw a few options can be switched off with a '0' but not all?

Should be clear from  a cursory review of the readme.

AIBadApproachFilter=0

AIForceFinalApprAlt= 0

The user can certainly chose to have the AI approach the airport too high (AIBadApproachFilter = 0) and turn onto final too high (AIForceFinalApprAlt = 0) per the default MSFS AI program of that is what they want.  Just have to read just a bit . . . .

Thanks for the pointers. Glanced at the readme 🙂 but the ini is hard to read, everything in caps and no spaces, but I now left most on default and set those two as adviced. The jumping has gone but they now ignore the GS. I best wait till Asobo fixes the ai, hopefully soon.

BTW, here is how to turn everything off except the custom high alt cruise speed profile (I don't care what features of the utility are used, all the options were written to be capable of being individually turned off).  I've only indicated the changes from default values below.  Be sure that there are no leading // which causes the parameter to be commented out.

AIARRIVALSPACING=0 //turns off all AI-AI spacing (holding and speed control for spacing)

AITERMINALAREAMINSPEED=0 //turns off AI min speed in terminal area

AITERMINALAREAMAXSPEED=0 //turns off AI max speed in terminal area

AIBADAPPROACHFILTER=0 //turns off AI bad approach mitigations

AIFORCEFINALAPPRALT=0 //turns off force AI to final approach alt

AITURBULENCESCALAR=0 //turns off AI final approach landing effects

AIGOAROUNDLEAVEAREA=0 //turns off handling of AI going around (allows loitering)

Also, be sure keep AIPLANESPOTTINGONLY=1 (default value) so that all user-AI separation and anti-runway incursion features are also turned off.

Ok will try and see how it goes. Most of them don't seem switches though.
