March 6, 20233 yr I noticed today that Navigraph on their website does not list the yearly Navdata Subscription only for around $30, The only pricing that is shown now, is the $90 yearly for Navdata plus charts. I don't need charts. So I have to pay an additional $60 a year for something I have no need for. https://navigraph.com/pricing Edited March 6, 20233 yr by Bobsk8
March 6, 20233 yr I mailed Navigraph and did a check with an old account of mine and noticed the following: 1. if you have a current subscription and login to your account you will only see the option to get an Ultimate subscription. The navdata only option is nowhere to be found. Navigraph clearly doesn't want you to know the option is still there... even though it actually still is there: 2. if you do NOT have a current subscription and login to your account the Pricing page will only show the Ultimate subscription. However, when you go to My Account you will the see option 'Get a Navigation Data subscription' at the bottom of the page. Navigraph decided to only advertise the Ultimate option and to hide the navdata option from view: obviously they'd like to see everyone taking the Ultimate subscription... But the navdata option is still there and available for everyone, so also new users. Note that you will ONLY see this option without an active subscription! 3. for the navdate without charts you will only get the option to start a yearly subscription and it costs € 36,05 right now (including VAT). At least on the page I am seeing: this may be different if you live in another region. This means the option to take a one month subscription (and keep on using it for a longer period) is completely gone. BTW Navigraph confirmed by e-mail that you won't see the navdata only option when you have an active subscription. And also that the only way to find it is to go to the My Account page once/if you do not have a subscription. It's a deliberate choice to hide the navdate option as much as possible. It is pretty obvious, looking all over their website, that the Navdata only subscription is being phased out. You either go for the $90 a year subscription, or go somewhere else like Aerosoft data.

They clearly want everyone to go for Ultimate but if you want to and know where to look you can still get the navdata only option. I think they'd lose quite a bit of income if they only offer the Ultimate option... It's all just a marketing trick. I doubt if they are really going to phase it out completely. I myself am already a bit bummed the one month only option is gone... I don't really need an up to date AIRAC all year long: I just want all my stuff to be in sync. As I posted elsewhere I think I will see how far I can get with just the default Navblue navdata (once my current ultimate sub ends). If I do run into problems somewhere in the future I might get that navdata only subscription anyway. The charts I can do without though. Edited March 6, 20233 yr by tup61

The first requires a bit more work, the second isn't as bad some people think it is (well, okay, depending on your expectations... but it does work). Both can work with the default (free) Navblue navdata.

But you only see that if you do not have an active subscription. I presume that's the case with you? When I log in with my account that DOES have a subscription I don't get to see that option. Just now, Bobsk8 said: I did that and just got the price for $90 Because you DO have an active subscription. It's quite confusing and not exactly customer friendly. The options you see depend on your situation (an account, yes or no, and a subscription, yes or no). I specially find it quite odd (to put it mildly) that users who are current customers do NOT get to see that option. It's a bit misleading imho. Edited March 6, 20233 yr by tup61
March 6, 20233 yr Well that's pretty crappy. Many users don't need their charts. 😐 It will be a bad business decision, but I have a feeling they adjusted their chart pricing to recoup the losses. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
