Yes, RX6800XT. Latest driver and Zink enabled.

Well, welcome to x-plane. I would try other planes too just in case, zibo is not very stable.

Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

Anyway, do you guys notice the small microstutters?

I've been watching performance on XP12 for a while now, short answer is yes, long answer is no.

XP12 settings don't seem to have the same "higher settings = lower fps" you/I would otherwise be used to.

It seems more a "too high settings on too complex scenery make things more likely to stutter". This is vastly improved from early access when to high settings would make you CTD, and I expect to lesson as further optimisation comes in allowing higher settings on current hardware, the VRAM optimisation they have been prioritising would seem to be important here.

This makes it really hard to know what settings you can use and when, e.g. on my optimised ortho around the CEE countries I can crank pretty much everything to max over large cities even for VR, but trying to land at EGLL on default scenery to get it smooth high fps 100% of the time needs fairly low settings even in 2D.. Others have already mentioned earlier around EHAM has some issues.

I still get the microstutters even with good FPS. Tested lowering settings to low and still present.

Hi,

I'm in the same boat as you, yet a few revisions ago I was butter smooth. Got me so ticked off I decided to try and combine 2020 with XP12 since I can run THREE 75" monitors on one computer as compared to XP12 on one computer, one screen and still get stutters.

Early work in progress of XP12 controlling MS2020.

Wow. Interesting concept. Update on how it turns out for you.

I tip my hat to you, Dr Frankenstein.

Edit: How do you account for terrain differences?

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

Hi,

Been to numerous airports testing runway positions between the two sims, I haven't found any that are a problem just yet. Not that they don't exist, I just haven't found any show stoppers.
