March 13, 20233 yr The B-32, as good as it appears to have been, simply arrived too late to be anything more than a footnote in WW II aviation history. The same can be said of the Goodyear F2G Super Corsair. The AAF should not have scrapped ALL of the B-32s! That was criminal stupidity. At least a dozen or two should have been "sold" to museums. 😱 Fr. But, after a truly global war, the victors were not interested in preservation, but in returning to peace. March 14, 20233 yr Author The B-32 still lives in FSX. I wish someone would convert it to work in P3d. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
March 14, 20233 yr Former fire bomber Consolidated-Vultee P4Y-2 is about close getting to a B-32 that still exists. https://flightaware.com/photos/view/530448-0e3ee00fab66d3cf2a85df224fdee48bee4f39e4

It has a nice picture of a B-32 Dominator refuelling in the Pacific in '45. It's my opinion that the B-32 would have developed into a great bomber, but events passed it by. It was a more-elegant cross between a B-29 and a PB4Y Privateer. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
