Second, being out on the west coast I always thought this would be an interesting area to visit, but after seeing this I realize know the potential natural beauty of this area has been fully transformed into a somewhat trashy theme park. I guess I always assumed it was a national park type of place, not sure it would be worth the trip for me anymore. I visited the (still unspoilt) Victoria Falls a year apart from visiting Niagara, and the difference is very obvious. Nevertheless Niagara still has a raw majestic beauty that dwarfs any tinkering that humans have done around it. IMO still very much worth a visit. Though Vic Falls moreso.

Surely that's just a massive Blue Man Group fan outing they've modelled?😉 On 3/24/2023 at 5:31 PM, Mike S KPDX said: Second, being out on the west coast I always thought this would be an interesting area to visit, but after seeing this I realize know the potential natural beauty of this area has been fully transformed into a somewhat trashy theme park. I wouldn't let the commercialisation of the Falls spoil things for you - it's a truly stunning sight to behold, regardless. And take a trip to Niagara-on-the Lake, a beautiful little town when I had the chance to visit. On 3/23/2023 at 4:50 AM, Orlaam said: Was there in the late 80s on the Canadian side. Remember it like it was yesterday and how we just wanted to get back to the car. We were freezing! 😂 When I was there the second time, it was a lot warmer than that, sun shining but still some ice in the river. On my first visit, I was actually given the opportunity to switch on and control the lights on the Horseshoe Falls from the control room - the sense of power!!!😎 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

A really nice little town full of delicious wine. Also, on a clear day if you go beside the lake there you can just make out the top half of the Toronto skyline on the horizon of Lake Ontario. It’s at that perfect height/distance to be visible, but the bottom half is below the earth’s curvature, a really cool visual. A lovely place to chill out after the hustle and bustle of Niagara town itself. I wonder if Niagara-on-the-Lake will actually be included, along with the whirlpool and rapids after the falls? The Victoria Falls scenery covers quite a lot of land and a few miles downstream, so hopefully this might. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).
