April 13, 20233 yr ok - thanks for doing that Mark I had 3 identical screens, next to each other, to create a semi wrap around experience - when you place the screens directly next to each other you will see how it's impossible to get something that doesn't have odd geometry anomalies, and either overlaps or duplication across the screens it's just not where it needs to be - xplane is much better in this respect, so hopefully they achieve something similar in time
April 14, 20233 yr The last time I tried this (over 6 months ago) I had terrible distortion in both of the side monitors. Has this been fixed? Edited April 14, 20233 yr by Adamski_NZ
April 14, 20233 yr I have 3x75" 4k tvs angled at -45/0°/45° encompassing my cockpit creating a 200° FOV. Using MSFS "experimental" setup option. Easy to set up and no distortion. It looks fantastic. Absolutely fantastic.

I don't think its a case of Asobo fixing it persay as it is adjusting settings to suite your setup. Took me a fair bit of time to get the monitors alligned at the right angle, then setting up the right angles in the MSFS Experimental section. Then working out the best zoom and eye distance for each aircraft. Once saved and setup its zero/low maintenance, but yeah it took some time to setup. This is my triple monitor setup with 3 x 50" TVs. Aerosoft CRJ. Its hard to get a good photo due to the setups size without zooming out my camera too far. April 14, 20233 yr It's a lot easier without the virtual cockpit needing to line up exactly are your screens at 90 degrees there? i think that's quite straightforward

The way MSFS seems to work, its quite difficult (or I found it difficult) to get all parts of the VC lined up together and all aspects of the outside to line up together at the same time. In my pics above you'll see that whilst the dash edge is lined up, the aircraft display that splits both TV's is lined up at the top but not the bottom. That said, the scenery is, especially when on the ground lined up perfectly and that's what's important to me. Once I realized I had to focus on getting the scenery lined up, and did so by using taxiway lines at different airports, and parked AI aircraft nearby as reference points, it become a lot easier and I found everything else sort of fell into place. Different aircraft make a difference too. The PMDG looks a LOT better and lines up a lot better than the CRJ you can see above. April 16, 20233 yr Ideally, your eyes need to be looking at the centre of each screen. Imagine a stick poking out from the centre of each monitor - three sticks ought to be poking you in the head. This is obvious for your horizontal position but it also is important for the vertical position.
