It has been reported on the official forum by an extended number of users who never even tried the Google map replacement. Including me, btw. It would be interesting, if you could try any of the situations reported on the official forum (link above) which reproducibly trigger this popping. And, yes, it's restricted to specific spots/regions. If you never fly there you'll never see it. April 24, 20233 yr the location should be specified exactly so we can try ourselves. can be some datatglitches on the server? also the server itself might be important, they all have copies of the thing, stuff can go wrong there.
April 24, 20233 yr I used to get it badly in the UK Snowdonia 'mach loop' region but that seems to have gone away (too many changes to know what may have helped. Have upgraded gpu, cpu, motherboard, ram and broadband!). However, in a region I fly on the Scottish coast - an area of sand dunes next to the coast, it still pops and morphs as merrily as ever. In my case, now I have been able to extend the LOD, it is now almost always hills and mountains (used to be buildings too). The odd thing is that the rendering can be absolutely fine but it then suddenly changes shape in a small area, which gives me an area with the same sharpness and detail, but just a different one. Kills immersion in VR but, happily, it is only when I am low and slow in hilly areas. Now I have found an area of the country where it is still happening in spite of my various upgrades, I'll do some trials with different aircraft, VPN/Non-VPN, etc, etc to see if I can pick up a pattern... April 24, 20233 yr Try takeoff from MUHA rw6 and fly low straight. I have that everytime at the same location. Intel Core i9 13900K, NVidia RTX 4090 FE, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB@6000MHz, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB NVMe M2, Asus OLED PG42 UQ

April 24, 20233 yr I observed severe tile popping several miles after takeoff from the plane bonyard LFBT Lourdes-Tarbes (the new France VFR version) a couple of days ago. I have been flying there several times before without popping, so it is definitely a new "feature". This was slow and low in the S4. A few miles further en route to Toulouse it got lost. You mean that you came here to upset Asobo's cheering crowd and until then a somewhat peaceful forum and then you went on holiday ? How inconsiderate 😅! Seriously, this is what I see leaving Ajaccio to the NE. DX11, no Bijan's stuff, no cache, a rather mediocre internet. Again this is a rare occurrence. It looks like a memory problem. I see a similar problem in MUHA too but less noticeable. EDIT If you zoom in & out in world planner you see that different resolutions have different colors, more vivid or darker. I think that in some places MSFS cannot reconcile the coarse and the fine grain imagery and messes it up in the memory. Now I am no software engineer...
