Indeed, it doesn't look that good in there. But maybe that's because it's actually XP11 in that video ? Are there any videos of that same addon imported into XP12 ?

XP12 added new buildings that at least in Europe look pretty European. It also does seem like there's better placement of buildings and vegetation (meaning there's more of them). 

Setup: RX6800 | 5800X3D + B450 | 32GB 3200MHz | X-Plane 12

I could be wrong, but I think the two images in the first post have SSAO working correctly or at least enabled which is why the vegetation and everything just fits together nicely and looks realistic (The trees slightly darken the terrain they're on). It never really worked well in XP11.

 

Ok I'm confused about which sim those shots (which look very good btw) are from. OP can you message me the link to the subreddit?

Ah, he used some plugins/addons to modify the shaders as well. I thought it was default lighting 😕

yup. "I used Reshade blu_fx and VisualXP. Custom scenery is Society Islands XP - Bora Bora & Leeward Islands"
