It’s 2023 and it’s still plugged in with a cable. Apple didn’t invent anything...

That promo video looks like it could be an episode of Netflix’s Black Mirror series.

Even if all their 5,000 patents they were awarded for this headset are invalid as you want to believe, what relevance does this have to anything at all?

wouldn't you be better going off hating on ford gt40s or Ferrari or Porsche or similar?

You must hate Bentleys

So basically, what this headset allegedly does is run things entirely on its own, be more or less equal in computing power to the highest end hardware on the market while shrinking that from the size of a desktop computer down to something sitting inside of the headset, consuming only a tiny fraction of the power required by all other computers and running off of a 2 hour battery pack if desired.

No idea if this coming from Apple directly or from people getting carried away, but I'm wondering who's kidding who at this point.

A fair, quick summary of what apple said in the video in the OP imho.

Except additionally it also purportedly  integrates seamlessly with the rest of the apple "eco system" (iphone, ipad mac etc) via an entirely new operating system they call "visionOS".
