How appropriate for the current situation in Canada! Available June 16th. Water bombing effect looks really good!

Thanks for sharing!

We really think people will enjoy this one, our testers are all pretty happy and of course. Lots of potential of where we can take this depending on community engagement.

I do want to note that our timing is an unfortunate coincidence, we've had this project tucked away for months as we were focused on our H145 and a few other unannounced projects.

What is this? The default 747-800 with a painted livery? Look at the wings and the engine nozzles; that's the MSFS default -800.
747 Supertankers have been -100, -200 and -400 in real life.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Yes, I have counted the rivets and there is one missing too. 🙄

The product appears to be virtual wildfires and the means to put them out, not a precise model of an aircraft.
Not only that but it is made perfectly clear what is not on offer.

DISCLAIMER: This product extends the default Asobo Boeing 747-8i and Asobo King Air 350i aircraft. The base aircraft are used as a platform for this addon and are copied from the simulator at the time of installation.

Yeah I think you might want to rethink your analogy between aircraft types and the number of rivets.

That's good it's being clearly described, I only watched the video. Still 20 dollars for a livery with a default aircraft and with some fire and water FX effects is a typical MSFS low-effort which we see so much these days. I understand there's a market for this, a big one, but this doesn't mean Avsimmers can't criticise it.
To end on a positive note: LatinVFR's Airbus releases or CaptainScam are much worse in that regard.

Yes, it is crazy how lower end products get criticized on this forum. Just like your less expensive cars to luxury vehicles, it is the lower end vehicles that have the lion’s share of the market. People have different budgets of affordability and likes about what they fly and the level of detail required when they fly in Flight Simulator. It is a hobby with different levels of engagement and enthusiasm.

A successful rivet counter does not need rivets to succeed.

Alright you got me, I'm *obsessed* with flying correct aircraft types.

I would argue against the project being labeled as low-effort, it's a project we've been iterating on since October of last year.

The argument around cost is always a fair one, but I have to point out that this project is much more than a livery and some FX effects. Dreamsofwings did a great job on his channel showing off the value included here.

You can base this fire "eater" in a middle strategic point in the Earth, and to have served and covered half World in a few hours haha, great.

Does it work all well in VR, maps, other config windows etc.?

I would say so, you're likely to get a grin on your face when you're flying the lead plane and see the SuperTanker come in to drop on the smoke lane you've drawn from the King Air.

Our mission system automatically syncs with the Garmin maps. In terms of Windows 10 and 11 support no concerns there.

Would you consider making a mod to make this work with the PMDG DC-6? They flew fire tanker missions for many years

If other developers are interested in having their aircraft supported that's something our teams could discuss.

The (freeware) AeroDynamics KC-10/DC-10 would be perfect.

This reminds me of FIREFIGHTER X by LORBY-SI. I have been waiting for something like this for MSFS, I will be picking this up on release.
