June 27, 20232 yr As it currently is and will be for 2024 extension ... it means nothing, just a game with little to no objective that consumes some time. I can jump in any aircraft and not know a thing about the aircraft nor systems nor weather and go fly from A to B without issue. Never have I done that in the real world except as a passenger. It doesn't provide any challenge or sense of accomplishment and it's not FAA certified so doesn't have any real world training relevance. I keep hoping a simulator on any platform will provide a truly "interactive" experience where ATC make sense as do the other AI aircraft in the virtual world MSFS present (not a fan of spinning AI aircraft). ATC has always been my biggest complaint on any FS platform, nobody seems to want to address ATC ... now that we have far better AI tools available to development, this should be viable. Having aircraft logs that indicate past aircraft issues/broken items logged by other pilots that I would need to be aware of and deal with for my flight. Walk arounds where we can spot actual issues and report them to maintenance or company. Failures that have consequence and require appropriate pilot checklist resolution. Useful FO or CO with my option to select as default for all relevant aircraft (not a 3rd party option). Meaningful flight planning for fuel, route, alternates, AI traffic density, obstacles, TFRs, other AI making mistakes, weather that actually impacts an airport and closes runways and changes traffic patterns, persisting weather accurate to real world weather events. Didn't JN indicate the dev team increased from 100 to 175 due to sales? So why are we seeing so little change? All the stuff listed for 2024 isn't touching on anything that I'd consider "a challenge" or something that would keep me "involved" or really change what it "means" to me.

You should get a different hobby. Sounds like this one is making you depressed.
June 27, 20232 yr When you get over the effect of seeing your house for me MFS means Leonardo MD80 now that the A2A peaks are coming I will surely start to enjoy this sim a lot more.

No idea how you got "doesn't present a challenge" to being depressed? Internet life, it's a bizarre one.
