July 10, 20232 yr One of the features I never found represented in previous versions of P3d I tried, up to v5 initial release version, are sloped runways / taxiways... But I read that they're possible since, I believe, P3dv5. Are there any examples in V6's default scenery airports? If anyone knows of one such positive example, please post here. Thank you! July 10, 20232 yr That feature was utterly neglected by airport creators in version 5, and i suspect same will happen in v6 Artur

July 10, 20232 yr Trust me it`s a lot of work, each node has an hight get it wrong and you can fall through the scenery. PS P3Dv5 2021. Edited July 10, 20232 yr by G-RFRY Raymond Fry.

So in that BGL? editor you can actually edit the "mesh" at the airfield ? Airport built in layers the base layer the hight above sea level or below in some cases. then the exclude to remove objects then airport layer runways taxi ways and scenery, Using ADE you can customise you parking in any airport including default airports. https://www.flickr.com/photos/154944674@N05/50773634833/in/dateposted-public/ Parking your cargo at the correct location. July 10, 20232 yr @jcomm, It can be done but, as others have said, it's too cumbersome and time consuming, even with the editor shown by @G-RFRY. In other simulators/scenery editors one can lay the runway or taxiway on top of the terrain and it assumes the terrain elevation. In P3D and using ADE (the editor) one has to manually set every point where the elevation changes and this is hit or miss. dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library

I understand, but at the same time I actually find P3d's approach more adequate if you're willing to get it more precise. In MFS I don't know the quality of the average mesh, but in X-Plane you're stuck with t ehunderlaying scenery mesh and can't modify it so some runways and taxiways look really strange, to say the least.... I believe in P3D, should good tools become available, it's a lot more customizable... July 10, 20232 yr All the wonderful Canadian airports (runways and aprons) from Ralph Eisenegger, the developer of Simaddons, are sloped, but there are issues with the sloped aprons in P3Dv6. 🙁 Randy
