  • XPD-14131 – HITS crashes when vegetation is visible.
  • XPD-14115 – F-14 won’t load in Plane-Maker debug on feat_gfx_integration.
  • XPD-14093 – G1000 Window crash – feat_gfx_integration .
  • XPD-14057 – Failed to create Vulkan window, no surface formats found – DAG branch .
  • XPD-14050 – gfx_assert failed – VR – Feat_Render_DAG.
  • XPD-14039 – Dev console broken on DAG branch .

Hmmm, definitely the clouds seem to be much better.

Maybe because is beta 1, the AA may be disabled in some areas. Will see in the next betas or RCs.

The textures are crispier now, good, they said to improve the VRAM.

And now........ the frames: are doubled! 🤣🤣🤣

Well, I'm seeing some minor performance improvements, an extra 5-10 frames here and there compared to what I usually see in some standard heavy testing scenarios / areas. Clouds are looking nice and shimmering seem to have been reduced. Especially ground reflection shimmering is massively improved. Overall very positive release.

Hm, no updates on OpenXR for VR? 😕

EDIT:
No difference in cloud complexity between ex-high and new Maximum. Only slight difference in shading. FPS is a bit better, maybe 5%. Other changes require deeper testing.

X-Plane crashes/hangs when exiting the app in Windows 11.

A few FPS increase I've noticed. Nice clouds, but now are affecting my FPS a bit that I hadn't noticed before. More testing is needed.

The Citation X has a few buttons dancing by themselves. SG Test, some display buttons below that, EICAS buttons over to the right,
Radar controls on pedestal. Happens with and without power applied.

Well, 5-10 fps more can be huge according to the situation, for example if its during approaching EGLL with a heavy aircraft and bad weather  🙂 I do also have the impression that the performance is a bit better and more stable. It looks like a big improvement, although not perfect yet; the lighting at sunset/sunrise is also much better, no transparent clouds everywhere. Still a bit too color-intense (yellow/orange) in my opinion but this will for sure get tuned in the next few betas. A huge step forward is that the shimmering around the plane and in distance seems to have disappeared almost entirely. All in all a very solid and good upgrade.

EDIT: ok i spoke a bit too fast. The blending of the clouds and mountains is still quite bad and shimmering. No changes in that area as it seems...

Well, weird things I've encountered so far. Saw this over LOWI with real weather enabled;

Saw these very prominent light sources;

Which appear to be some sort of bugged light source, though I suspect that could be X-World's doing

And at KSEA, thought I saw the sun hitting mountain tops but even when the sun was completely gone, mountain tops were orange;

It's explained in one of the first releases notes. It's a known bug and should be fixed in the next beta.
