Recommendation for GA Airfields in the North of England?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Unless I've not searched hard enough there seems to be a distinct lack of GA Airfields in the North of England, I'm talking from Manchester upwards.   The only decent one I have is EGCB (Barton), beyond that I've got the usual Manchester/Liverpool/Newcastle/Teeside but these aren't GA.

Whilst I'm thinking I don't seem to see many for Scotland either, with its beautiful terrain this is a shame (although I do have a number of them in Shetland Isles) so I'm talking mainland Scotland.

Recommendations??

Cheers

The default Out Skerries airfield and surrounding scenery looks payware level.

Thanks but I said I have the Shetland Isles which is where outer skerries is, I was referencing the mainland.

There is a freeware Carlisle with Eddie Stobart buildings on FS.to which I quite like. Handy for exploring the Lake District.

Eshott airfield near my place is ok. Great for exploring Northumberland, Hadrians wall, the Cheviots etc...

EGBR Breighton?  IRL a true gem.

Mind you, best to add the three Yorkshire Power Stations from Flightsim.to - they are essential landmarks!
