October 24, 20232 yr Good grief, I've only just come across this. 1400 cars destroyed. A vehicle fault has been blamed but they have arrested a man, so not sure what that's all about. Structural engineers are attempting to determine if it required demolition. It varies from place to place but in general underground parking or enclosed parking due require sprinkler systems, above ground level parking that is not enclosed do not require sprinklers, this building is above ground and not enclosed. But like I said t various in different regions, where I live I am Chief Fire Marshal at my workplace, it is an 18 story commercial building with 6 levels of parking fully enclosed and mostly underground and we don’t require a sprinkler system, we just require accessible fire hoses, this is a bad low standard regulation and unusual in a first world country, Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
