November 10, 20232 yr NOVEMBER 9TH, 2023 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Posted by: Microsoft Flight Simulator Team This week’s Screenshot Challenge winner is Forum user KnackBretzel! If you’re interested in participating in our weekly Screenshot Challenges, check out the details in the Community section below! Earlier this week, we released World Update XV: Nordics & Greenland. This region contains some of the most stunningly beautiful natural scenery found anywhere in the world, and we’re thrilled to enhance the area in Microsoft Flight Simulator with higher resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEM), new hand-crafted points of interest and bespoke airports, and additional Discovery Flights, Bush Trips, and Landing Challenges. You can see the full list of new content in our forum post here. World Update XV is available as a FREE download from the in-sim Marketplace now. As always, we also launched a new plane in our Local Legends series alongside the World Update. Local Legend 13: Saab B 17A is a WWII-era dive bomber of Swedish design and construction. Created by developer iniBuilds for Microsoft Flight Simulator. In Sim Update 14 testing news, we released a new beta build (1.35.14.0) on Monday. You can read the full release notes of this pre-release build on our forums here. If you would like to opt-in to the beta test, you can find instructions here. The beta is open to all players on PC/MS Store, PC/Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. As we announced in last week’s blog post, our next Developer Livestream is scheduled for Wednesday, November 29 at 10:30am Pacific Standard Time (1830 UTC) on our official Twitch channel. If you would like to submit a question to the panel in advance, please fill out this form. We will be collating the submissions, and the panel will answer the most commonly-asked questions during the session. Please be aware that we are not yet ready to share more details about Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, so please pose questions about the current (2020) version only. Finally, if you subscribe to our official YouTube channel, you may have noticed that we have recently been re-releasing trailers from past World Updates, Local Legends, and Famous Flyers. These videos were originally released on the Official Xbox channel, but we’re re-uploading to the Microsoft Flight Simulator channel so you can find them all in one convenient location. – MSFS Team FEEDBACK SNAPSHOT Click here for the web-friendly version of the Feedback Snapshot. MARKETPLACE UPDATE While browsing the selection of new products this week, be sure to check out Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (EHAM) from developer FlyTampa. This product launched on PC two weeks ago, and now it’s available on the Xbox platform, too! Schiphol is the Netherlands’ premier international gateway, and one of the busiest airports globally. Today, Schiphol features an impressive number of six runways, five of which serve its commercial operations. The furthest runway, Polderbaan, is situated a full 5km from the main terminal, demanding a taxi time of fifteen minutes, featuring its independent control tower system. Despite its singular terminal design, Schiphol is in a perpetual state of expansion and taxiway reconfiguration, solidifying its reputation as one of the world’s most complex airports. The dense urban surroundings offer thrilling approaches, while an array of elevated taxiway bridges provides captivating ground-level perspectives. FlyTampa Amsterdam DLC includes Schiphol airport in its entirety, based on the current 2023-2024 layout, and a large array of local detail using high-definition PBR materials. Beyond catering to commercial traffic, the DLC meticulously details airplane spotting zones, public spaces, hangars, cargo facilities, general aviation, and operational centres. This week, he’ll be flying in Türkiye from Istanbul (LTFM) to Antalya (LTAI) in the PMDG 737-800. Event details are available here. Feel free to follow the flight on our Twitch channel! COMMUNITY VIDEO We always love seeing some of the amazing home cockpits simmers have built for themselves, and YouTuber B738DIY has one of the most impressive ones we’ve come across yet. In this weeks’ community video, check out his home cockpit as he flies a Boeing 737 in a rather, uh, unorthodox manner. November 10, 20232 yr So we may get the ini A320Neo in the beta after all. Wasn't expecting that. Edited November 10, 20232 yr by Tuskin38
November 10, 20232 yr Commercial Member @David Mills I don't know exactly what motivates you to make this post week after week, but I want to thank you for taking the time and effort to bring this news to our forum. I have enjoyed reading and watching the different news, incoming and new releases. I know the work it takes you to do this and I really appreciate it.
November 10, 20232 yr Ok, the snow or no snow cover now gets the green "improved" mark, which is only partially true because once again it seems that Asobo did not really understand WHAT the issue actually is. Jeez... Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

November 15, 20232 yr The options reset bug is not fixed in the latest beta build. They promising to fix it in the next beta. It reminds me... Yes! And remember there are only 20 days left before SU14 official build release. White bug deja vu 🤷🏻♂️

Before you leave the simulator go to "General Options", "data" tab and turn off "Online Functionality". Then when you come back into the simulator you can turn it back and this way you don't have to reset all the assistance options. Just don't forget to turn it back off again. 😉 I see that workaround is still working in the newest release.
