November 18, 20232 yr I noticed by chance that the sound from the built-in Quest headphones ca be improved noticeably just by cupping your hands over your ears. It seems a bit basic, but I'm wondering if something like ear defenders would work - has anybody tried anything like this? ...
November 20, 20232 yr Reverb G2 has nice swing down headphones. But not as nice as my Audio Techna ATH-40X hi fi phones. So I disable the G2 phones and wear the AT 40. It also helps to hold the G2 stable, and feels good. You might like wearing any good stereo phones you have and see if they are comfortable. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

November 21, 20232 yr Author Yes, I used to use headphones, but defeats the point of wireless VR to use wired headphones. I did buy the amp ear buds for quest and wasn't impressed...the silicone flaps might be good but not quest 3 yet? ...

December 13, 20232 yr Well, It's loud enough for most game play, but I ended up bought a cheap KZ (ZSN proX) earbud for it if I play something I want some more immersion, I'm not in a Hifi fever or something, but a $15 earbud just sounds much better than it's own speaker.
January 17, 20242 yr as good as the q3 speakers are, by the time I set it at a level I enjoy, everyone else around me can hear it too. $5 iphone 6 silicone cases. Not the most elegant addition, but its very light weight and it's allowed me to reduce the volume considerably (and improves the bass a bit)
