COMMUNITY FLY-IN FRIDAY On December 1, 1973, the South Pacific nation of Papua New Guinea first gained self-governance after being formerly administered by Australia for nearly 60 years. Among aviation fans, PNG is known for its beautiful natural scenery and rugged, challenging airstrips made famous by the incredibly popular YouTuber Missionary Bush Pilot. For Fly-In Friday this week, we’ll depart from the capital city of Port Moresby then fly on a generally northerly heading over the jungles of the Owen Stanley Range. Our flight will include several touch and go landings at bespoke airports, so make sure you have the free World Update XIII: Oceania installed from the in-sim Marketplace! Event details are available here. All are welcome to participate! TUBELINER TUESDAY Due to crew sickness this week’s Tubeliner Tuesday Episode was cancelled, however will return next week! Community Manager Chewwy will take us back into Scandinavia once again, this time to celebrate the final Boeing 737 flight operated by Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). Departing Stockholm Arlanda (ESSA), and arriving into Oslo Gardermoen (ENGM), Chewwy will be flying this flight in the PMDG Boeing 737-700 on the VATSIM Multiplayer Network. Event details are available here. Feel free to follow the flight on our Twitch channel! COMMUNITY VIDEO The Avro Vulcan is one of the most iconic aircraft ever to grace the skies, and although they no longer fly in the real world, you can now keep this warbird alive in Microsoft Flight Simulator with the recently released add-on by JustFlight. YouTuber Q8Pilot walks us through the step by step process of waking this old bird up from a cold and dark start state, to having the four famous Rolls-Royce Olympus 201 engines up and running ready for takeoff in this week’s Community Video! They could have kept them entirely for FS 2024 but they decided to update MSFS with what was possible to port into it instead... 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber
