Well there is this thing called slight of hand which magicians use to distract their mark from what they are otherwise doing in plan sight. It's as old as the hills. Magicians us it for the purpose of entertainment. However confidence tricksters use it for the sinister purpose of depriving you of your property. Government is an example of the later. While they are distracting everyone with plandemics, UFO's, wars and the like they are forwarding an agenda that services the interests of the global elites to the extreme detriment of the ordinary masses. That in a nutshell is what it's all about. The UFO thing is all BS. There are no extra terrestrials crossing countless light years to visit the earth. As I see it there are four categories of these things. Eye witness accounts. They are sometimes accompanied by photo's or video. They comprise of optical illusions, natural phenomemon, mistaken identity and plan old fashioned lies and fakery. The last I think is the most prolific of the age we live in. The Media is the Message. We are swimming in a sea of lies. This is the post truth era. Fasten your seat belt the ride is getting rougher from here on out.🤪 This is my opinion based on common sense and heuristics. The subject is after all and deliberately so a distraction from what really matters!🤣

When asked I always say I don't know.  I am not certain. 

I would remind you that during the age of exploration the Magellans and Drakes and Cooks ventured off into the unknown in slow sailing ships to see what was out there.  If hyperdrives are possible and have been developed by advanced cultures why wouldn't the lure of exploration exist in them and urge them to venture out to see what was out there?

We are doing it ourselves as far as our technology will allow us to go to the moon and to Mars and later on to who knows where.

FBW737, you sound alike an early Hawaiian or Samoan or Australian Aboriginal or a Maori saying, "There are no other people out there crossing tens of thousands of miles of ocean to visit us!"

You can only say that if you believe there are no such things as extraterrestrials.  And to believe that would be akin to a Maori believing there were no other people in the world before Abel Tasman 'discovered' New Zealand over 380 years ago.

Although I believe that there are other advanced species in the universe, I don't think they have visited the Earth. 

Unless they are a lot closer than we think. like within 10 or so light years, I just don't see how they could get here in a reasonable amount of time.

This assumes of course that they haven't developed some way to travel faster than light - a lot faster.

I agree that the current UFO hype is a distraction.  It's all part of the Bread and Circuses.

One distraction among many. NFL football is a distraction in the USA, soccer is a distraction in the UK, ice hockey is a distraction in Canada. I suppose these are all "bread and circuses".

Arthur Clarke in his "Profiles of the Future" predicted contact with extra-terrestrials somewhere between 2030 and 2040, so not long to wait and that would be a real distraction.

There were 2 removed because of one statement and another quoting that statement.  The statement named names!

The removal of statements that named public figure names just proves that we live in totalitarian and authoritarian times. When you live somewhere you can only criticize the government in private among trusted friends and acquaintances you know what that means. Next people will be getting disappeared in the middle of the night. Who do I think I'm kidding that's definitely already happening. It's the aliens who are abducting them.

I'll behave I'm done with it. My point is proven for me.

Regarding the aliens. They are not coming. The contrarian arguments that they don't exist are to subtle for most to entertain given the ascent to the position that they do exist implies a teleological element to the main stream believe that complex life forms evolved from simpler forms via natural selection putting rest to random selection. Telelogical meaning there is nothing random about it.

I'm gonna say where are the public artifacts? There aren't any! No a single one and that is all it would take. Their are other kinds of unmentionable artifacts which are public and have been openly and deeply scientifically scrutinized and been revealed to be totally beyond scientific explanation to the extent they defy their own existence and pertain to a realm that is beyond our immediate experience but the discussion of these topic is also vorboten.

Needless to say just another arrow in the quiver for describing the passion for UFO's and aliens as a religion. That and climate change!😨🤪

OK birdguy, I said where are the public artifacts. Sure their are rumours of artifacts which are kept under wraps. If someone says to me, we know that there are aliens visiting the earth. I say I don't believe you. They say we have artifacts. I say show me. They say no. Then I know they are lying not only about the artifacts but they are lying about aliens visiting the earth. If they had artifacts so important they must be kept secret they would be saying "There are no aliens visiting the earth!" The way truth and lies work is crucial in manipulating your mark. When have you ever known the government to tell the truth about anything?
