Unsure how you found footage from 60 years in the future, but... They're still flying Caravans?  Man, aerospace innovation must have really plateaued!

Found it on my tube feeds. It popped up as news and it looked like an  interesting incident with a good end.  A rare thing in aviation and I thought I’d share.

He was joking because, look at your thread title - "19th Jan 2084".  😉

Thank you Stearmandriver and JYW for leading to my obvious error. Your gentle prodding was appreciated! 😎

You'd be shocked. Apparently, some incorrigibles are still flying the Stearman, which first flew 90 years ago!

(Sorry, this one was just too good to resist... 😉

HA and Touché!

This ATC clip is unfortunately truncated... She declared immediately on TO and was stepped on. Then reports on the ground after multiple attempts by the controller to reply.

Will be looking forward to finding out if they ran the engine up to 50% or greater before TO roll and confirmed good #'s...

Evidently is the 'strike' was the guardrail - she missed a car by about 30ft and slid on the slick roadway.

Yes and I could see ice/dirt ingestion, I wonder if the inertial separator was doing its thing.

I was picturing the folks up north still flying DC-6s and Convairs when I wrote that... Didn't even think about myself.  Well played.  😁🍻
